Hallo an alle, ich bin neu!

    Hi all users!

First sorry but I don't speak deutsch yet, and my english is not perfect.

I'm 20 years old, and I come from Spain, and now I'm living in Kerpen, near Köln.

I was member of the spanish Kadett forum for a few months and finally I bought my own Kadett in June. It was going to be scrapped, but I could help and bought it for 200€.

His condition was not good, but as I wanted to make the trip to Germany with him, I focused only in the mechanic part.

It's a 1989 Kadett 1.6S, with the 16SV engine, carbureted. I'm not sure, but I think that this engine is not common in Deutschland, but is the most common in Spain. Here are all injection, am I right?

The car was externally modified in 1996 and it has:

    - GSI front bumper modified for additional lights.
    - GSI bonnet
    - Side moldings replaced (I don't know where they come from)
    - GT rear spoiler
    - Mirrors and rear bumper painted.
    - Tiffany 13" felgen.

And internally it only have a GSI 16v lenkrad. The engine is stock.

In the engine I spend time and some money for ensure reliability. You can see the change in the images.

I drive since the 18 years a Ford Sierra 2.0, and I feel a big change, but I am happy with my Kadett. It's very stronge and very cheap (consumptions around 6 l/100km). Just notice it a little boring ;)

Please, do not judge the car's appearance. It was a bad live the last years.

These images are of the day that I bought it.

Oh! I'm watching that I haven't any picture of the engine after. Only a video:

And it's the only actual picture:

I hope to learn a lot here and make friends.

In the future I will try to answer in deutsch.

    Greetings!

    Greetings from germany. ;)

Your car looks fine though. There are cars around that don't look as fine as yours. So don't worry. Is that a fog-light-prepared frontbumper? It seems as if. Is it stock or modified? What's the mileage of your car and what are your plans with it?
You can answer in the language you feel good with. Here are some people who don't speak very much german. If you want, we can answer you in german so you can improve your skills.

How is my driving? 0178 - FUCK YOU!

    Danke!

It's fine if you answer me in german, I need to practise!!

I'm living here for a bit more than a month, and I have seen few cars that looks worse than mine, it's a little shameful. Also I have not seen any Kadett E stufenheck yet! However I see Porsche GT2RS, Tesla, Ascari, Viper, Wiesmann... I have the most exclusive car 8)

The front bumper is handmade. It had in the past two aditional "fernlicht" (I don't know the correct traslation), and it was homologate in the Itv (the spanish TÜV) in 1996, because in Spain the fog-lights don't need to be approved but the "fernlicht" yes. But when I bought it don't had the lamps, and I removed the installation, because it was very poorly done.

When I bought the car was 116.000km. This seems incredible because of the poor state, but was rated in every Itv. Now must have near 125.000km, I'm not sure, because at the start of the travel the speedometer cable broke. I have a LCD board, and I will put it for recover the speedometer. Also my current board is mixed with the speedometer of a pre-reestyling. I don't know why.

I will drive this car until I can buy a german car. Then I'll keep it, and some day it returns to Spain with the Sierra.

Until then, I'll care it! :)
