The project consists out of allot of pictures so it can take a while because of the 60min post limit to post them all with some explaination text with it.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello there Kadett E enthousiasts, I'm presenting you my german style kadett restoring project I'm working on for more then a year nowdrive:

This is how I bought it in March 2006

    One of the first adjustments:
Wider welded steel GT wheels they are now about 9,5 a 10J, started with cleaning the car with removing all excesive parts I didn't need any more.
Fitting a group A rally freeflow exhaust and replacing some wearing parts on the engine

    May 2006:
Because you can't go any wider dan 7,5J on the rear of a kadett I made the rear side wider.
I was not pleased about my amateur effort so I redone it in a prof way that you wil see later on

    Here's some pic's of it

Because standard the air intake hose leads into the front bumper without catching any cold air, I modified the air hose to the underside of the bumper so it catches direct cold air.

    standard:

    Modified:

I also started polishing my engine block

    Painted the roofrails

I made mouting brackets for mounting the lice plate at the underside of the bumper

    Chrome tankcover

    Polished aluminium strut-brace

    July 2006:

    Cleaned the front bumper

    Front bumper painted

I can not post the rest of my project because this forum doesn't allow another reply within one hour that sucks I want to show you my project :applaus:

Comments like those sucks... please think about! If you or anyone other is allowed to post as much as he can after and after, lots of spammers would feel well here. But this IS a forum. Give a post, get a replay... give a post, get a reply... or you have to wait one hour. On the other hand you can make thumbnails, and show all of them in ONE post from your own webspace. So don't get on my nerves by being restless showing your things... especially they are really done shortsighted and not on a professional way you wan't to make us believe. So please think about the way you talk... As loud as you scream in a forest... the same it would come back!

Sorry for having to say this, Opel_KadettGSI, but what you did with the rear wheel arches of the car is neither professional, nor is it done in a way that is durable.
First off, one would -never ever- just cut the metal two or three times, bend it outwards and weld the frayed ends back together.

Let's look at the next laughable bit of your efforts: Putting tons of putty to smooth over the battlefield, rather than tinning the welded area first. The good thing is though that the spackle will retain a good amount of water over the next couple of months, and the whole thing will rust off faster than you can say "corrosion".

Last but not least, let's look at the final product again a little closer, shall we? I don't think I've ever seen a wheel arch more warped than this one... oh my god.

    @HAWK[eye] sorry for that.
I was only a bit frustrated that I couldn't show you that the rear wheel arches where done over in a professional way by myself.
(I edited my prior post of comment )

Hounestely I never where happy about the amateur skills of the wheel arches.
So therefore I did them all over.

With the time I improved my skills from amateur to (semi)prof

    Here are two recent pics.
As you can see I welded two front arches croslike in the back.

Tommorow I wil make another update

looks much better now. i hope you tinned your work well. Otherwise you'll get the brown pest back as fast as you don't really want to.

And re-think the place of your air-intake... there it sucks all dirt it could get and water. I don't believe you want your car sound like a toilet!
